What it is

Understanding Post-Pregnancy Weight

Motherhood brings beautiful changes, but it also brings a completely new lifestyle. After pregnancy, most mothers naturally focus all their time and energy on their baby, while their own health, nutrition and fitness often take a back seat.

At Know Health Diet Clinic, our Post-Pregnancy Weight Management Programme is specially designed to help mothers gradually work towards a healthier weight while managing their new routine and responsibilities.

We understand that taking care of a baby leaves very little time for complicated diets or strict routines. That’s why we focus on simple, homemade and practical meal plans that can easily fit into your daily lifestyle.

Our personalised plans are designed according to your body, lifestyle, nutritional needs, food preferences and individual weight-management goals. For breastfeeding mothers, nutritional requirements are also considered while planning the diet.

We don’t believe in crash diets, starvation or extreme weight-loss methods. Our focus is on healthy eating habits, sustainable weight management and helping you feel stronger and more energetic.

Because being a mother means giving your best to your child — but you deserve to feel healthy, fit and confident too.

Signs & challenges

What usually brings women here.

If several of these are familiar, you are not imagining a pattern — and it is a nutritional pattern far more often than a discipline one.

01

Weight that will not shift

Six months on, the scale has stalled well above where you started, despite eating less than you ever have.

02

Exhaustion beyond broken sleep

A flatness that sleep does not fix — very often low haemoglobin, ferritin or B12 rather than tiredness.

03

Hair fall

Heavy shedding from three months onward, usually protein, iron and vitamin D together rather than any one of them.

04

Milk supply anxiety

The fear that eating less will reduce supply — which is why most mothers abandon a diet within a fortnight.

05

Core and back pain

Abdominal separation and a deconditioned pelvic floor, made worse by the way you carry and feed.

06

Constant hunger and sugar cravings

The predictable result of feeding on a low-protein, high-refined-carbohydrate day.
